(McCown) and I are living in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Martha is
retired, and I have returned to work at the University of Central Arkansas
after a brief stint of being retired for a second time. Our only child, Reid, and his wife, Jamie,
live in Sherwood and have two children, Abby (age 5) and Cade (age 3

Sammy - Ash Flat, Arkansas - I quit
practicing law after 23 years and began a banking career. My daughter, Josie (age
29), is a speech pathologist and works for the Batesville School District. My son,
John (age 20), is a sophomore at Ouachita. Justin (age 18) will graduate from
Highland High School (Hardy, Arkansas) and will attend ASU and play football. I have
a grandson, Austin (age 2 1/2), and I'm not ready for this (grandparenting)!!

- Bickers,
Bobby - Little Rock, Arkansas - UPDATED
10/23/03 After leaving BHS, I attended UALR and Memphis
University. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Vicky Vincent.
We were married on July 3, 1999 after being apart for 34 years. I have two
sons from a previous marriage.
Vicky and I are living in Monroe, GA (outside
Atlanta). (413 Walton Circle, 30655, (770) 266-6192). I am
back with my old company (Grinnell) . Lots of changes with the
company. We merged with Simplex (worlds largest fire alarm company).
Six more years and I'm hanging it up and retiring for good. My oldest son
(Brian) and his wife, Esmeralda gave us our first grandson a little over a
year ago and Esmeralda is pregnant with our second. Baby is due in
April. Brian is still doing well in the IT business. My youngest son
has re-upped in the Navy and probably will make a career of it. He
just can't seem to get away from Hawaii where he has been most of his
adult life.

- Brooks, Sue
Ann - (Sue Warnix) Camden, Arkansas - I have worked for
the Social Security Administration for 26 years. Currently, my job title is Claims
Representative. I have been married to Dale Warnix for 30 years. he is manager
of Camden Employment Security Office. We operate a sign company after hours and on
weekends. Also, we have a used car dealership. We have one son, Dusty (23),
who is a student at Arkanas State University in Jonesboro, my old alma mater. I am a
member of the Business and Professional Womens Club, and my hobbies include experimental
aircraft/air shows and relaxing on Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs. Return to Top of Page
- Burt, Dennis
- Cabot, Arkansas - Patti, my wife, and I live in a log house in the middle of 10 acres of
woods outside of Cabot, Arkansas. I spent 8 years in the Navy as an electronics
technician and reactor operator on two different submarines. Twleve years after
graduating from BHS I received a BS in accounting from Harding College and began a career
in public accounting. In 1980 I opened my own practice in Jacksonville and served as
managing partner for 17 years. On July 1, 1997 my interest in the practice was sold
and I went to work for one of my long-time clients, Wright's Cabinets, Inc.
(www.wrightscabinets.com) where I currently serve as president of the company.
Wright's has plants in Jacksonville, AR and Louisville, MS, employing over 160
people. And as if that were not enough, today, May 18, we just closed the deal on
the purchase of a Ford dealership in Sheridan.
Mark (28), our oldest son, is married to Darla and lives in Tulsa, OK. They are in
the process of building a new house (and need your prayers). Tracy (26) is employed
with UALR and lives in Little Rock. Matt is looking forward to June 12 and his 16th
birthday and possibly getting to drive by his lonesome.
My main time-consumers are golf and flying. I received my license last July and have
really enjoyed my time in the air. My partner and I own a Cessna 210 Centurion and,
along with our wives, flew it to Orlando to the Citrus Bowl last December. Great

- Cargill,
Judy - (Judy Sturdivant) After graduating from Arkansas College,
Butch taught math and chemistry at Desha and Floral for 5 years. In 1975,
Butch took a job with the U.S. Post Office and we, along with our son Eric,
moved to the Little Rock area where we lived for 12 years. In June 1975, I
gave birth to our second son Mark. After staying home with the boys for
approximately 3 years, I returned to the workforce, taking a job with the
Little Rock School District Personnel Department. In 1986 (despite saying
we never would) we moved back to Batesville. Butch transferred to the
Batesville Post Office and I took a job in Administration at White River
Medical Center.
The children (Eric & Mark) have graduated from college -- Eric with a degree
in computer science and Mark in electrical engineering. They both have good
jobs (Eric with Acxiom in Conway and Mark with Acxiom in Fayetteville). Eric
and his wife gave us the most wonderful gift ever -- a grandson (Jordan)
born August 1997. Needless to say, we now spend a lot of time in Conway.
Butch and I love to travel and have just returned from a skiing trip to New
Hampshire. Butch loves to golf and play around with a hammer and saw. I
enjoy jogging, working in the yard, and reading. My plans are to learn how
to play the piano in the near future. Butch is considering retirement; I
enjoy my job and have no plans to retire at this time.

- Collins, Pat
- (Pat Matthews) Jacksonville, Arkansas - I was married
to John Landers and widowed in 1987. I have two wonderful sons, Collins (30),
single, Kansas City; and Daniel (27), single, Little Rock. In 1988, I made the best
decision of my life and married Ed Matthews! He has two daughters, Reagan (22),
married, new 5 month old bay boy; and Heidi, 18. We are fortunate to be able to
spend almost 24 hours/7days a week with each other and love every minute of it! I
also love to live life to the best! Fish, travel, quilt, grow flowers, cook,
entertain, fish some more, help work on 35th reunions, visit with old friends, laugh a
lot, talk, and fish some more! We are currently building a cabin on top of a hill,
on a farm, in the big city of Wooster, AR (pop. 398). Working on this Reunion has
been SO much fun and I've been able to renew old friendships with some and hope to add to
the list. Our Class of 1964 is full of some wonderful and amazing folks!

Worth, where I lived for the past 30 years. I've been married twice and

Agency on Aging, Inc. in Batesville. I am responsible for 6 housing projects for
persons 62 years of age and older and I also supervise 6 on-site housing managers.
We will start construction this summer on three more housing projects in White and
Woodruff counties. My daughter, Wendy will graduate from Ouachita Baptist University

02/05/00 Little Rock, Arkansas - I work as a childhood education associate with
the Arkansas Baptist Convention in Little Rock. My husband, Fred (from Oklahoma), is
a history professor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. We have three
children -- Laura Beth (graduate of Ouachita), who is married to Phil Chelf, living in
Dallas--the parents of Andrew, 3 years old, and Zachary, who was born on
June 8. Brad (graduate of Yale), who work as director of LEAP in New Haven, CT; Libby,
who is a part-time college student and a full-time employee at a law firm in Little Rock.

- Hargan, Judy
- (Judy Brooks) Beebe, Arkansas - I moved to Beebe in 1996 and plan to stay here until I
retire. Most of the
time I enjoy my job. I am the dorm mother in the women's hall. This means I am
mother, nurse, counselor, listener, tutor, fashion cordinator, and numerous other titles.
A person could say I have 120 children during the school year. During the
Fall term I teach one class. The one thing I can say about my position is that no 2
days are the same - I don't get bored. I live here all year. By the way, a Master's
degree, which I earned in 1995 from Jonesbore, is required for the position.
My children are all grown. Jalinda Haigwood along with her
husband Robert and children Cody, Mercedees, and Brandi lives in Mt Pleasant. Jill
is married to Dennis Roberts and they have one son, Kruz. Jay is single and lives in
Dallas. My mother still lives in Batesville and is in very good health. Sue
Brooks Warnix and I are still close friends. We do most of our visiting by way of
Southwestern Bell, but we do manage one long and several short meetings each year. I

Robert - Floral, Arkansas - (Robert's wife, Brenda, died after
a lengthy bout with brain cancer.) I have retired from the Union Pacific Railroad.
I now work part-time at the Batesville Municpal Golf Course two days a week.
Gives me something to do. I love playing golf and going to class reunions.
Class reunions bring back a part of my life that I really miss. I didn't realize how
much I would miss everyone until you guys were gone. I look forward to each and
every one. I have three
kids. Stefanie Harmon-Kirk(32) is married
and lives in Floral and has 3 sons : Kayne is 9, Seth is 2 and
Payton is 1. Jason (29) is married and lives in Mississippi as a
Commercial Graphic Arts designer for CompCam and Matt (26) is married and

and a select club team. Also, she is an ice skater . . . very competitive. I
work part time with my husband as a business broker. We own our own company. I

independent sales rep. firm. Our son Kyle and his wife Lee, live about
ten minutes away, with our two grandchildren Sage and Zoe. I am
semi-retired, after spending several years teaching and then working for an
educational software company. At the present, I am doing some part
time consulting for a textbook company and another educational software
company. So I am traveling, when I want to, and able to stay home and
be grandmother when I want. I do go back to Batesville quite often to see my
mother, who still lives there. Actually, I have a wonderful
life. We are all well and happy, and at this point in life that is very

Reston, Virginia - I teach English and Writing for the Fairfax County Schools (VA)
and Trinity Episcopal. My husband retires from the Air Force on May 14 and plan to
teach seminary classes and pastor a church in the Metro Washington, D. C. area. We
have two adult sons, on in advertising in Washington, D. C. and another in graduate school
(business) at Baylor University. Two others are undergraduates at Duke and Trinity
International (Chicago). I'm looking forward to living in one place for the next 20
years! (after moving every 3 years for over 20 years) I also plan to find time
to take up an old hobby of freelance writing. We will continue to travel and seek

and operating a small retail business in downtown Batesville which is called Pioneer
General Store....John Boykin actually named the store what it is today....It's in
the old Roberson building....Come by and visit..Have a wife and 3 children whom are out of
the household.....My oldest daughter is a dentist in Fort Myers, Florida......My youngest
daughter is a housewife in Batesville who
is married to Dr. Larry Brown, a chemical engineer at Ark. Eastman...My son is a student
and an instructor pilot at the College of the Ozarks in Branson, Mo....plans to fly
commercially...My wife, Linda, and I live in Moorefield at 100 Morgan Rd. My wife
worked with the Independence County Musuem which all of our classmates need to visit.

Linda - (Linda Shearer) North Little Rock, Arkansas .. I live in
Lakewood in N.L R and have for 20 years. Married to Jay and we have Alex, age
13, a seventh grader who runs out lives ..(pray for us!) Jay recently sold his
physical therapy business and is now putting in a French drain, having just painted
our house.. He isn't getting to the "honey do " list very fast. I
work part time, thankfully, at Baptist Rehab Institute and have been there 21years as a
medical social worker..My career goal is retirement. If you want to see me, you can
find me drinking mocha every Monday and Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. at NY Bagel in NLR,
very close to my house. The rest of the time I'm doing all kind of things like
antiquing, reading,walking,gardening, and mostly, helping my parents who moved to Lakewood
House apts. after living their entire lives in Independence county and have been married
60 years. Moving them here was a major accomplishment but not so bad now that it's
history. Unlike me who resists change always, they adjusted easily. Of course,
they are nuts about Alex, only and spoiled grandchild and being still not quite a teenager
is willing to visit them often.. We travel a lot. I'm just hoping that nothing keeps
me from the reunion this time.. I enjoy reading, gardening, walking for
exercise, Alex's many sports, plays, church, and travelling. Sending my best wishes

Georgia - (Georgia Nash) Little Rock,
Arkansas >I moved from Batesville to Stuttgart (moved with family 3 days after
graduation) to Fayetteville (University of Arkansas) to Dallas (Delta flight attendant for
16 years) to Little Rock (to
be a wife and mom). Yes, I finally married the guy (Chuck Nash) who accompanied
me to the senior prom and the 10 year reunion. We have been married 24 years,
have one son, Adam, who is now 14 and a freshman at Lutheran High School. (We were
late bloomers!) Chuck does general and peripheral vascular surgery here in Little
Rock, and I am involved in lots of volunteer work at Trinity Heights Academy (a school for
children with specific learning disabilities such as dyslexia &
dysgraphia). I
hope lots of you plan to attend the 35 year reunion in Batesville. (To those of you
who live in the Batesville area: Remember, even though you see the folks who live in
town, we don’t, and we want to visit with ALL of you. Please plan to attend the

- Wilson, Jan
- Batesville, Arkansas - I am divorced, retired after
30 years of nursing, and travelling as much as possible. Have been to Africa,
Australia, and Costa Rica in the last 5 years. I moved back to Batesville to take
care of my Dad. I spend as much time as possible trout fishing on the Little Red and
North Fork/White River. My other hobby is cooking and doing a little private
catering for friends. Jo (My brother, Steve's wife) and I just got back from Santa

Linda - (Linda Roberts) Little Rock, Arkansas - My husband and I (Charles
"Ted") live in Little Rock. I have worked at Arkansas Electric
Cooperatives Corporation in the Finance and Administration Division for the
past 27 years. My son, Scott Graves and his wife Sharon also live in Little
Rock … no grandchildren, yet. I
have an unmarried stepdaughter, Leslie, who is a nurse here in Little Rock.
Ted and I love to travel and hang out together. Martha Dale, Brenda K. and I
try to get together for dinner every couple of months to "catch
up" on what’s going on and basically see how much trouble we can stir
