1934 -- The Externalization of the Hierarchy by Alice A. Bailey is published. Bailey is an occultist, whose works are channeled from a spirit guide, the Tibetan Master [demon spirit] Djwahl Kuhl. Bailey uses the phrase "points of light" in connection with a "New Group of World Servers" and claims that 1934 marks the beginning of "the organizing of the men and women...group work of a  new order...[with] progress defined by service...the world of the Brotherhood...the Forces of Light...[and] out of the spoliation of all existing culture and civilization, the new world order must be built." The book is  published by the Lucis Trust, incorporated originally in New York as the Lucifer  Publishing Company. Lucis Trust is a United Nations NGO and has been a major player at the recent U.N. summits. Later Assistant Secretary General of the U.N. Robert Mueller would credit the creation of his World Core Curriculum for  education to the underlying teachings of Djwahl Kuhl via Alice Bailey's writings on the subject.

This is a new-age organization dedicated to the overthrow of the old system and to usher in a new system that they deem fit with the help of the United Nations.

Obviously, this will not be a Christian-based type of governement. It will sound good and look good for the moment but utter chaos will ultimately set in.  HLS

LUCIS TRUST is on the Roster of the United Nations Economic and Social Council.

A new and better way of life for all people everywhere in the world can become a reality in our time. Practical techniques in Operation today can be learned and applied to the fulfillment of the divine plan for humanity. 

ACTIVITIES

The activities of the Lucis Trust include the worldwide financial of the Arcane School, the Lucis Publishing companies, World Goodwill, Triangles, Lucis Trust Libraries and Lucis Productions.

THE ARCANE SCHOOL

The Arcane School was created by Alice A. Bailey in 1923 as a training school for adult men and women in meditation techniques and the development of spiritual potentiality.  The school provides sequential courses of study and meditation, and practical training in group service.

The Arcane School is conducted by correspondence through headquarters in New York, London, and Geneva.

The Arcane School is nonpolitical and nonsectarian.  All are served. Since 1923 tens of thousands of students have taken advantage of the training.

No charges are made by the school for for its services.  The work is financed through the Luis Trust by the voluntary contributions of students and those interested in the work of the school and in the teachings. Each gives accordingly to pesonal circumstances.

LENDING LIBRARIES

The Lucis Trust maintains lending libraries of esoteric and occult books covering a wide variety of classifications. The libraries are maintained by voluntary donations only: books may be borrowed by mail.

THE LUCIS PUBLISHING COMPANIES

The Lucis Publishing Company of New York and the Lucis Press Ltd. of London, England publish the books written by Alice A. Bailey.  The books have a wide distribution in the English language all over the world and have been translated and puiblished in the main European languages. They are also being translated and published in other languages of the world.

Publication of the books is financed through a revolvong fund under the administration of the Lucis Trust in order to provide for reprinting Monies contributed to this Fund have been used several times over. No royalties are paid, and copyrights are owned by the Lucis Trust.

The Beacon magazine is published bimonthly by the Lucis Press. This a magazine of esoteric philosophy presenting the principles of the Ageless Wisdom teaching as a contemporary way of life.

TRIANGLES

Triangles was founded in 1937 to stimulate the growth of right human relations by uniting like-minded men and women of goodwill in a spiritual service.

Triangles is an activity of the mind, using the power of thought and prayer to invoke light and goodwill for all humanity, the work is done by units of three people linked in a worldwide network.

The work is financed by the voluntary donations of Triangles workers to the Lucis Trust.

WORLD GOODWILL

World goodwill was established in 1932.

The overall purpose if World Goodwill is the establishment of right human relations through the practical applications of the principle of goodwill.

World Goodwill action at present consists of:

a. The distribution of literature all over the world in many languages.

b. The publication of the World Goodwill Newsletter and Commentary.

c. The provision of a study course on the fundamental problems of humanity.

d. Cooperation with the United Nations and its Specialised Agencies.

e. World Service Forums.

World Goodwill is recognised by the Office of Public Information at the United Nations as Non_governmental Organisation.  It is represented at regular briefing sessions at the United Nations in New York and Geneva.

The work is financed by voluntary donations from those men and women of goodwill concerned to maintain and expand this world service to humanity.

LUCIS PRODUCTIONS

Lucis Productions produces radio and video programs based on principles of the Ageless Wisdom, including a radio series, Inner Sight, heard on WOR radio in New York, featuring discussions on spiritual principles working out human awareness. Also available is a video series, Twelve Spiritual Festivals, which is ideal for monthly meditation groups.
