What We Do

Is your organization in need of information or training about resource development or other aspects of nonprofit management? Nonprofit Resources, Inc., which has been serving Arkansas nonprofits for twenty years, may be able to help. NRI's purpose is to strengthen, support and enhance the capacity of Arkansas nonprofit organizations to fulfill their missions and its focus is on community based groups. It offers a variety of services to members and non-members, including those listed below.

 

1. Library The NRI library, which has a number of books on nonprofit management, fundraising, and funders (including foundations, corporations, and the federal register) is available free of charge. Call before visiting to make sure someone is in the office.

2. Group Health Insurance Small nonprofits can get the benefits of large group underwriting with NRI's health insurance program. For information call Joe Crawford at 501/227-8284.

3. Grantseeker's Horizon Published ten times a year, the Grantseeker's Horizon includes information about private and public grant opportunities and other subjects of interest to nonprofits. It is free for members and $75 a year for non-members.

4. Corporate Connection This 172 page book includes names and other information about national corporations doing business in Arkansas. It also provides tips on approaching funders and writing grants. Cost is $34 for members and $44 for non-members.

5. Grant Search NRI conducts individualized computer grant searches based on key words to help groups identify appropriate potential funders for their projects. Searches are $50 for members and $75 for non-members.

6. Training During 1997 NRI will be conducting training on topics of interest to nonprofits including financial management (1 day seminars), legal issues of importance to nonprofits (1 day seminars) and basics of nonprofit management and development (2 day seminars). Workshop fees vary, but are generally about $50 per day. Call for latest dates and topics.

7. Information NRI staff will help you find answers to your questions about nonprofit management and organizational development. We also have printed materials available on a wide variety of topics.
