On April 16th and April 23rd, Teen Court hearings were held at
two different locations. The hearings were packed with
action, while the lawyers, bailiff, clerk, and jurors all
"strutted their stuff".
The April 16th hearing was held in the Jeffrey Hawkins’
Conference Room. This allowed the trials to be more
formal. With the Jeffrey Hawkins Room’s spaciousness, parents
and other family members were all welcomed during the trial.
Judge Carl Evans was facing a docket of four cases. Each
case proceeded rapidly, even though the jury took the
allocated time allowed.
On April 23rd, the compact conference room at the
Prosecutor’s Office served as the court room. Judge Dan
Turner heard three cases.
The defendants and families were all amazed at the quick
time and seemed to be satisfied with their sentencing.
The volunteers continue to put their best foot forward,
and we do thank you for volunteerism. So, if you would
